Extension Plans
We’re finally getting around to finishing our rear extension, and the old frames definitely won’t work with the new design. I’m considering aluminium windows because I like the slimmer frames and cleaner look, especially with all the extra glass. I’ve never bought them before, though. Has anyone had aluminium windows installed recently and found a company they’d recommend?

Nice one on the extension - we did something similar last year. Went aluminium for slim frames, more glass, less visual clutter. The tricky bit was finding someone who understood thermal specs and didn't push the cheapest profile. We ended up with a specialist aluminium windows who walked us through finish options and helped match the colour to existing frames. Installation was smooth, no drama with builders, sightlines are exactly what we wanted. Only regret is not doing it sooner - place feels way more open now. If choosing finishes, get physical samples; they show the true colour properly.
