The United Way of Greater Mercer County (UWGMC) is pleased to invite you to our annual Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA), Kick-Off event at the Salvation Army in Trenton located at 575 East State Street, Trenton NJ on January 23, 2024, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. We would be honored to have you as our guest. 

Briefly, our free tax preparation services or VITA program (Volunteer Income Tax Assistance) offers families and individuals making less than $65,000 free tax return preparation by our trained and IRS-certified volunteers and staff. Last year, UWGMC prepared nearly 1,700 tax returns putting more than $1.4 million back into the Mercer County local economy.

UWGMC is helping struggling families keep more of their hard-earned dollars but we’re also connecting them to financial stability resources and advocating for Earned Income Tax Credits (EITC) and Child Tax Credits (CTC) – both proven to give families a boost with affording food, housing, and other necessities.
